Hi,

Seems like you need some site builder hosting plan. Site builder hosting is perfect for those who are new to html or has no knowledge on it. Usually in site builder hosting, shopping cart and also other e-commerce components are offered for you. It will also come together with free website templates.

If you intend to create more than 1 website, go for multiple web hosting where you could handle your websites in one account.

Following webhosting site is quite good.

Hostmonster

They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 200000 MB (200 GB ). They only charge $4.95/month and they also offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you may create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well.

Visit the site to check details.
Hostmonster

Domains
Following site is quite good to register domains as price is reasonable with free privacy. Some charge about $5/ year just for free privacy.

<a href="http://mycaffeinatedcontent.com">Website content</a>

There is a big difference between building an eCommerce website and one that actually sells. I always like to use the analogy that if a tree falls in the forest, no one hears or sees it. You can have a beautiful web design but the bottom line is that it's a complete waste of money unless you can market it. If you have a good network of friends and family, or a brick and mortar store where you can refer people to your website, then sure use a designer fresh out of college or even a pre-made package:
$40/month:
$15 - $300/month:

If you've got a few bucks to spend but don't mind a lot of sweat equity, then you can hire a web designer to build your site, and then market it using pay-per-click traffic:

This gets expensive in the beginning though, and it's critical that you monitor your sales & how much you spend per click. You'll find that a certain position is your "sweet spot." It could be anywhere from #1 - 10+.

If you really have a lot of time on your hands and some money for directory listings etc, then build a site & learn about search engine optmization (SEO):

If you have a real budget then you can spend anywhere from $10k to $500k for a well-marketed, well-designed website:
$10k range: (this agency does design & hosting)
$50-100k range: (this agency does both design & seo/marketing)

As far as SEO goes, you need to really read up on it or hire a professional. For example you don't want to have a flash splash page on your website. This is pretty oldskool anyway. Instead have an HTML site with easy navigation & lots of text links and text content.

If you've got deep pockets then you can even opt for buying a web business outright:

Lastly, there are lots of options to keep in mind re: inventory. You can either buy it wholesale, drop-ship (lower margins), or even join an affiliate program and promote someone else's website:

bluehost has been the best I've used or come across. They have very affordable packages with lots of great features including a lot of space and email accounts.

Not only do they have some great packages but I've found there Customer Service is unbelievable. They're extremely helpful and responsive when you have a question for them.

I've used a few different hosting company's and I've settled in with bluehost and will continue to use them for all of my sites.

<a href="http://mycaffeinatedcontent.com">Caffeinated Content</a>

As other people have responded, that depends on how many web pages he plans on building for you, does the price include hosting, domain name registration, or is it just for a template?

You should get an itemized list of exactly what that price includes and make sure that he also guareentees the work. You'd hate to be stuck with a bill like that and not have the website you envision.

As someone mentioned, you can also build your own website or have someone start it for you then you can continue to add content to it whenever you want.

The company I use does both and they specialize in ecommerce websites (which I think is a huge bonus in your case) and comes with more features than any other web host provider that I've researched. I wrote about it on my "About Me" page on my website here:

There is also a video on that page that gives a great overview on the company and the features that they offer for web hosting and site building. (If you have any questions after you watch it, just give them a call. They can give you some pricing guidelines depending on what you decide to do).

I use their consultant service since I build my own sites but need some help now and then which I've been very happy with.

To save $ the best bet would be to pay a fee to get your website up a going then you take over and continue to add the content as you expand upon your ebusiness.

That way alot of the time consuming up-front work of planning out the structure of your site, site design, keyword analysis and all that stuff has already been done for you.

Good Luck and I hope you make a gazillion! :-)

<a href="http://kansieo.com">Create a video blog...instantly.</a>

As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. A domain name is a name you want to call your website. To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BlueHost service which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

They are a Multi-awarded Web Hosting which offer a Full-featured service only $6.95. You can see their Plan Details accompanied with reliable reviews regarding their service at:

Here I have copied and pasted its features from their website to view:

- Free Domain Forever
- Unlimited Space
- Unlimited Transfer
- Blog (wordpress)
- Forum (phpbb,bulletin)
- Host UNLIMITED Domains (Support All Domain Names)
- 2,500 POP/Imap Email Accounts
- SSH (Secure Shell), SSL, FTP, Stats
- CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP, MySQL
- Front Page Extensions
- Free Site Builder
- 24/7 Superb/Responsive Sales/Support
- Free Search Engine Submission

They also offer "Free Site Builder" that helps you build your web pages without difficulty if you are not skilled in using any website creating program. (WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get) You can use this service optionally.

******IMPORTANT********
* This service was awarded “The Best Web Host OF The Year”.
* If you sign up for this service you will have $75 credits to advertise your website with the google & yahoo search engines for free!
* You Can Register A Free Domain or Use Your Existing Domains. They Support All Domain Names.

Another useful link:
There you can find a step-by-step guide to start your website.

And also a cheap, reliable service:

And the easiest way to create a website is reachable here (web host offering 4500 decent templates):

For the most cost-effective, easy to work with, and reliable host, I recommend Dreamhost. DreamHost does support Ecommerce and online marketing.

Their standard price is $119.40/year ($9.95/month if you pay yearly) but by entering the promo code DISCOUNT50PROMO at sign up page you can get a $50 discount. This way you get them for $69.40/year instead of $119/year. It could be a great choice for your online store.

Price: $5.78/month ($69.40/year)
1 free domain forever
Disk space: Unlimited
Bandwidth: Unlimited
Unlimited domains and subdomains
% 99.9 reliable
24/7 technical support
1 click install of many platforms including WordPress

If you want to build it yourself, you can do it for about $15-30/month. Microsoft has a customizable template-based service that lets people make their own ecommerce site. That price includes domain registration, hosting, and access to all the tools you need to make your site. You can add paypal accounts and shopping carts so that you can sell goods and services directly through your website, include video demos of your products, and even create up to 100 custom email addresses that match your .com domain name.

Cheers,
Jeff
